Synopsis

She falls quickly in love, and is invited to his family home of Northanger Abbey. Once there, however, its mysterious atmosphere begins to elicit dark suspicions in her mind. An avid reader of gothic novels, Catherine’s imagination is ripe for intrigue, but will her fears be proven true? Published posthumously, Northanger Abbey was in fact one of Austen’s first novels. It remains a both timeless romance, and a winsome satire of the gothic genre.
